SpiKer Lodge

SpiKer-Lodge includes a two-storey detached house, a large barn and 1.1 hectares of land. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Drevdagen in the municipality of Älvdalen. The location is quiet and offers a view of the lake and the fell. The SpiKer-Lodge is ideal for nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Dogs are welcome and are alloud in the holiday flat. Idre, the nearest larger town, is about 35 minutes away by car. There, visitors will find shopping opportunities and many outdoor activities.

Activities

Drevdagen offers numerous outdoor activities in summer and winter. In nearby Idre Fjäll, visitors can use attractive bike trails and ski slopes. Fullufjället National Park is ideal for nature lovers and offers great hiking trails.

In summer, guests can go hiking, cycling, fishing, boating, river rafting, golfing or visiting the high ropes course.

In winter, cross-country skiing, scooter riding, dog sledding, skiing and snowshoeing are on the programme.

Beginner sledding course (Back)

The beginner's course for sled dogs is aimed at small teams (2-4 dogs). Do you already have some experience with sled dogs, perhaps bikejoring or driving a light cart off-snow? Have you always wanted to try sledding but were unsure about the equipment and how to drive?

 

Then you are in the right place. Book a beginner's mushing course. We provide you with a sled and all the necessary equipment except for harnesses. We explain the sled, how to attach everything, how to use it, and how to drive it. Afterward, we take a short guided ride, accompanying you with the scooter and ensuring safety. Duration approximately 2-3 hours.

Guided sled rides (Back)

 

The trails around Drevdagen are well-marked, and you can get a map of the trails from us. However, if it's your first time here, you might feel uncomfortable. Perhaps you're worried about getting lost, or maybe you have concerns about encountering other teams on the trail. We are here for that. Ride worry-free and book us as your escort for safety and fun.

Taxi service (Back)

 

We offer a taxi service for our guests. We are happy to drive you to Idre Fjäll, to Idre for shopping, or pick you up after a hike. We also offer a taxi service to and from Trysil. This way, you can come to us completely car-free.

 

General Taxi Service: Price: SEK 15 / km for guests only

Dog Sled Rental (Back)

 

Have you ever wanted to go sledding with your dogs but don't have the equipment? Don't want to bring your own sled because you don't plan on going out that often or don't have much space in your vehicle? Or do you just want to try out a sled before buying one? No problem! Rent a sled from us, including the complete towing rope, and enjoy and experiment for a few days before you decide to buy one. We offer sleds for 2-6 dogs.

 

Price: SEK 180 / hour

 

 

Hiking

The Drevfjällens Nature Reserve offers many hiking trails in untouched nature all the way to the Norwegian mountains. You can stay in cabins, and our taxi service will be happy to take you back to Drevdagen from one point.

But you can also hike from Idre, about 35 minutes away. There you will find beautiful trails in Nipfjäll and Städjan.

Drevdagen and the surrounding area also offer many opportunities for cycling fans. Whether on the roads by e-bike to Norway or by mountain bike on the trails of Idre Fjäll or the cross country trails of Nipfjället National Park. There is something for everyone.

Kayak / Rowing Boat / River Rafting

Row peacefully and quietly by kayak or rowing boat on Stordrevdagssjön or one of the many surrounding waters and enjoy nature and the water world.

 

If you want to get a little wilder, you can book a river rafting tour in Idre, 35 minutes away.

In Idre and Drevdagen there are many activities for all ages and interests. Whether fishing, golfing, a visit to the aerial ropes park or a wilderness experience - there is something for everyone here.

Drevdagen is a centre for sled dog sports. Here you will find over 100 km of well-groomed and marked trails that lead through the beautiful landscape. You don't have to travel with your own dogs to enjoy this unique experience. In Drevdagen you can book dog sledding tours and go sledding yourself.

Whether with your own team or on a booked tour, driving through nature and over the fells around Drevdagen remains unforgettable.

 

Scooter

The trail system in Drevdagen, which is used by sled dog riders, is also available for scooters and snowmobiles. There are over 100 km of well-groomed and signposted scooter trails. Along the paths you will find various barbecue areas and huts to linger and grill sausages. 

 

You can also book scooter tours that include scooters. On these tours you will explore the beautiful landscape and enjoy culinary delights.

Cross-country skiing

In Drevdagen, several classic cross-country ski trails around the lake await you. In addition, nearby Idre Fjäll offers over 100 km of trails, 30 km of which are illuminated. Strap on your skis and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. On the trails around Drevdagen you can also go skating skiing, try dog skijoring or go on a tour with the pulka. Skiing

Yes, there are mountains in Sweden where you can ski. On the nearby Idre Fjäll, there are 41 lifts in operation, which invite you to swing your hips on skis. Ski equipment can be rented.

Main house with holiday apartment

The apartment on the first floor of the residential building offers space for 2 to 4 people. It has been newly renovated and includes a large bedroom, a living room with sofa bed and fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a dining area and a toilet with shower. Guests can use the fireplace at any time. From the living room you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. In winter, you have direct access to the trail system for scooters and dog sleds. We ask our guests to observe the house rules.

Barn

In the large barn there is a shower and toilet for the camping pitches. It also houses a workshop and a storage room for sleds, training carts and much more. Part of the barn is to be converted into further living space at a later date.

Camping Pitches

Our campsite offers 2 pitches for campers and campervans. These are centrally located between the sauna, the barbecue area and the dog run at the edge of the forest. The pitches have electricity connections, and the barn has a toilet and shower. There is also enough space for dog trailers. The pitches can also be used in winter. We ask our guests to observe the house rules.

Kennel and Dog Run

There are 2 kennel free-range facilities on the site. The first kennel with free range belongs to our own dogs. It is located directly in front of the main house and is connected to it, so the dogs have access to the house at all times. The second free run is available to the guest dogs. On over 100 m², the dogs can get some fresh air and enjoy the snow in winter. We ask our guests to observe the house rules.

Sauna, Barbecue area and surrounding

In addition to the dog run for the guest dogs, there are 2 barbecue areas, a sauna and a playground for children on the property. An area of the property is reserved for the cultivation of berries and flowers. There is a small shop nearby where guests can buy meat directly from the farm and other local products. In winter, dog sledding tours and scooter tours can be booked in the area. We ask our guests to observe the house rules.
