Summer Activities
Drevdagen and the municipality of Älvdalen offer many outdoor sports in the summer. The region is known for its forests, rivers and numerous nature reserves as well as national parks. Here you can go hiking, biking or paddling with a kayak on lakes and rivers. From Drevdagen you have the opportunity to hike to the Norwegian border and spend the night in various cabins. Near Idre you can climb Nipfjäll or Städan or explore the trails in Idre Fjäll by bike. River rafting, fishing and golf are also popular summer activities in the Drevdagen area.
Winter Activities
In winter, Drevdagen turns into a mecca for scooter and sled dog riders. The region offers an excellent trail system with several hundred kilometers leading through the breathtaking landscape. But cross-country skiing fans also get their money's worth. In Drevdagen and in the Idre Fjäll there are wonderful cross-country ski trails. Idre Fjäll has 100 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, 30 kilometres of which are illuminated, so you can also ski at night. In addition, Idre Fjäll offers a ski area with over 40 lifts. In addition to scootering, sled dogs and skiing, you can also go snowshoeing. Ice fishing is also a popular winter activity.
Hiking
The Drevfjällens Nature Reserve offers many hiking trails in untouched nature all the way to the Norwegian mountains. You can stay in cabins, and our taxi service will be happy to take you back to Drevdagen from one point.
But you can also hike from Idre, about 35 minutes away. There you will find beautiful trails in Nipfjäll and Städjan.
Near Drevdagen is the Fulufjället National Park with its impressive waterfall.
Miscellaneous Other Activities
In Idre and Drevdagen there are many activities for all ages and interests. Whether fishing, golfing, a visit to the aerial ropes park or a wilderness experience - there is something for everyone here.
In the numerous rivers and lakes you can catch trout, eels and perch. For this you need a fishing license, which you can purchase in one of the many fishing shops.
The golf course in Idre offers the perfect setting for a round of golf. On rainy days, you can visit the Paddle Center in Idre and have fun there.
Dog Sledding
Drevdagen is a centre for sled dog sports. Here you will find over 100 km of well-groomed and marked trails that lead through the beautiful landscape. You don't have to travel with your own dogs to enjoy this unique experience. In Drevdagen you can book dog sledding tours and go sledding yourself.
Whether with your own team or on a booked tour, driving through nature and over the fells around Drevdagen remains unforgettable.
Scooter
The trail system in Drevdagen, which is used by sled dog riders, is also available for scooters and snowmobiles. There are over 100 km of well-groomed and signposted scooter trails. Along the paths you will find various barbecue areas and huts to linger and grill sausages.
You can also book scooter tours that include scooters. On these tours you will explore the beautiful landscape and enjoy culinary delights.
Cross-country skiing
In Drevdagen, several classic cross-country ski trails around the lake await you. In addition, nearby Idre Fjäll offers over 100 km of trails, 30 km of which are illuminated. Strap on your skis and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. On the trails around Drevdagen you can also go skating skiing, try dog skijoring or go on a tour with the pulka.
